How to Reduce Frequent Snacking

Frequency snacking or grazing is very common among toddlers and children, and is often one of the main causes of fussy eating in children.

This is because if a child eats frequently, they are:

  1. less likely to be hungry for mealtimes,
  2. foods usually served for snacks are often what I call ‘snack type foods’ such as crackers, yogurt or fruit.
  3. If a child eats these ‘snack type foods’ frequently, they may be less interested in eating more ‘meal-type foods’ such as dinner which may have more soft /wet / mixed textures.

Imagine after completion of Reduce Children’s Sugar in Positive Ways, you will have developed specific plans for how to talk to your children and what exactly you can say. You will also have developed plans for dealing with everyday challenges such as mindless eating; and how to handle occasions such as buffets in a more balanced way.
